
First photographs and reports have emerged from the set of Greta Gerwig’s upcoming adaptation of The Chronicles of Narnia. Production notices and early set photos released under several working codenames have allowed reporters and fans to link the project to The Magician’s Nephew.

Camera operators Peter Robertson and Zoe Goodwin-Stuart Part of the shoot reportedly took place in Manchester at the historic Victoria Baths. Casting calls and production details published for that location mention large group scenes with boys and wardrobe/hair requirements consistent with a 1950s setting. That is notable because the original novel’s period differs (the source material is set earlier), and it remains unclear whether the film’s action has been broadly shifted to the 1950s or whether that era applies only to specific sequences.
